I am a NASM certified personal trainer, have an MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, and am a Certified Orthopedic Exercise Specialist. My training approach follows the NASM Optimum Performance Training model. We begin with discussion of your goals and an assessment of your fitness level. The initial phase focuses on corrective exercises and building joint and muscular stability. We progress to incorporate core stabilization into the program, and then strength or power, as appropriate to your goals and fitness level.
I've been working out for most of my life - weight training, 8 marathons - and helped dozens of clients to achieve and surpass their fitness goals. My clients include office workers and housewives looking to tone and lose weight, marathoners and triathletes looking to improve performance and reduce injury risk, post-rehab for injuries and cardiac, and everything in between.
