I wish I had read these reviews first. I was too busy to research and learned a hard lesson. After about 4 months of threats, after contacting the better business bureau and the police, after having every man in my life call all of their numbers and physically threaten these people, they finally returned my tv. It had been irreparably damaged. The LEGITIMATE repair man I enlisted told me that someone had purposely removed integral internal pieces and damaged others. THIS IS NOT A BUSINESS. I guarantee mr. sjcor is one of these criminals, themselves, trying to undo the damage sites like this do to criminal enterprises such as this. I have more respect for muggers than for these people, at least they are up-front about what they are doing to you.

If you want to trash your tv, these are the people to call. There is no possibility of a positive outcome. They came and took our television AND a deposit. Came up with excuse after excuse for MONTHS about why they hadn't returned it. The police couldn't even get them to give it back

They do the same job as a shop you'd find in your neighborhood - if you could find one (these stores seem to have all gone online). They use the same technicians. I think the negative reviews reflect some panic from having to deal with a business that's not a bricks and mortar building, if you're not in Brooklyn. The only negative I found was that they were sometimes tough to contact for updates. But they did fix my Sony HDTV in 2 weeks, for the same amount as the bricks and mortar place did five years before. So I have to give them a 4.

I had satisfactory results from here. They cost the same as a shop you'd find in your neighborhood - if you could find one (they seem to have all gone online). They provide the same service you'd get from a bricks and mortar building, and use the same type of technicians. It is disconcerting to have to deal with a business you can't see, causing some of the panic you see in these reviews, and a negative I found: they were sometimes difficult to contact. But they did fix my Sony HDTV in 2 weeks and competently so have to give them a 4.

They are crooks, addresses are bogus! Filled a complained with consumer affairs, next stop police and state attorney general. They are criminals and this is a bogus operation.

They have had my TV for 6 months, they picked it up and took calling everyday for weeks to have them return it and nothing was fixed. They picked it up again and now it has been 5 more months and they are telling me they can't get the part and I live to far for them to bring it back. I was ready to go to Brookly to pick it up and now there phone is out of order.

These people are actually thieves. Please listen to this; it is not that they do shoddy work.This is an actual criminal enterprise that will steal your money and/or your posessions.

wow wish I read this first...I guess in my case I am lucky I only lost my deposit of $60 and the part that was broken from my tv...they never answer any of my calls or texts...yes as the other people have stated this company is so dishonest :(

IF YOU CALL "ADVANCE TELEVISION REPAIR CENTER" YOU MINE AS WELL THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY IN THE GARBAGE. THIS PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST & IRRESPONSIBLE. I PAID 200 DOLLARS AND IT'S BEEN A MONTH AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR SERVICE. THEY HARDLY EVER PICK UP THE PHONE BUT WHEN THEY DO AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, IS A NO SHOW NO CALL. THIS "REPAIR" SHOP DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1/4 OF A STAR. I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BEAUREU AGENCY.

DO NOT CALL these people. they "fixed" my television and less than 24 hours later it was broken again. After calling 5 times and EVERY TIME making a different appointment for them to come fix the problem, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. $200 gone!! After getting my TV repaired by another company, the guy told me those jerks didn't touch the television, they probably knew the TV would reset itself and work when they returned with it, lucky them. I repeat, do NOT call this company.

Yes I agree with you. They never fix my TV and I have to call them everyday to find out whats going on with my TV and everyday they keep telling me they are getting the parts to fix the TV or they have a specialist that is coming in to fix it. I still do not have my TV back as yet but I will take them to small clames Court if I have to. So please stay away from this company or whatever they call them selves.

Television Repair Center, Brooklyn is the typical example of dishonest, cheating thiefs( Television Repair Center , Authorized Television Service Center in Brighton Beach, Advance tv Service or whatever name they are ) Stay away from them! They take your TV and then do not repair it. I have to call everyday to follow up as they do not call me. After a few weeks,I do have it back. BUT....it's missing all screws, board,cord..(accidentally??) They should therefore be punished for their crime.
